West Ham Stuns Cardiff with Epic Comeback as Middlesbrough Falls
Scott Parker's first match back at West Ham seemed destined for disaster, as his team trailed 3-0 at halftime. However, in a remarkable turnaround, the Hammers fought back to secure a dramatic 3-3 draw against Cardiff City, thanks to Max Kilman's late equalizer. Parker, who stepped in as head coach earlier that week, saw Cardiff's Jack Moylan put on a show with a first-half hat-trick. Moylan got the party started in the 11th minute with a stunning strike that left West Ham's keeper Mads Hermansen rooted to the spot, finding the top corner with precision. Things got worse for West Ham when Moylan was fouled in the box, converting the subsequent penalty in the 37th minute after getting back on his feet. Just two minutes later, a corner saw Will Fish's header redirected by Moylan, completing his hat-trick and leaving the visitors stunned. The second half was a different story. Divine Mukasa ignited West Ham's hopes in the 58th minute with a cool finish after a brilliant assist from Jarrod Bowen. Arne Engels then capitalized on a defensive error to pull the score to 3-2, setting the stage for a thrilling finale. In the 82nd minute, Bowen was again the architect, delivering a perfect cross that Kilman turned in from close range to complete the comeback, making it 3-3 with just eight minutes left on the clock. Meanwhile, at the Racecourse, leaders Middlesbrough faced a tough challenge against Wrexham. It wasn't until the 70th minute that Wrexham broke the deadlock, with George Thomason unleashing a powerful shot that sailed past Boro's keeper Radek Vítek. Oli Rathbone added a second goal in the 84th minute, sealing a surprising 2-0 victory for the hosts. Over at Ashton Gate, Bristol City's Scott Twine opened the scoring with a spectacular curling free-kick. However, Wolves turned the tables late in the game, as Sean Neave, on loan from Newcastle, scored two late goals in quick succession to secure a 2-1 win for the visitors.
